February is well and truly here. With it comes the time to welcome a New Lunar Year and a prompt to pause and reflect on the impact we were hoping to make within ourselves, our teams and organisations as we entered January.
The critical need is to maintain humanity within this new paradigm. This has to be our number one priority as leaders – recognising the impacts of technological change and working to mobilise, mitigate and monopolise them. And this starts now.
The western New Year catches us unawares, and we stumble into it, with little thought around how we will make those grand resolutions work. The Chinese new year is different – it’s planned for and recognised as a significant time of change. There’s lots we can learn from it, and the Year of the Snake, to fuel our own change plans.
